(Preset Manager)

The Preset Manager allows you to package presets from any function in the
Process, Effects, Tools, and DirectX menus. Once presets are packaged into a
Preset Package file (.sfz), they can be installed in any other computer
running Sound Forge.

Presets

All of the functions in the Process, Effects, Tools, and DirectX menus are
listed here, along with any presets that have been saved. To view the
settings of a particular preset, double click on it.
To add a preset to the package, drag it into the Preset Package Contents
list, or press the Add button once a preset has been highlighted.

Preset Package Contents

Displays the presets that will be saved in the Preset Package file. To
delete a preset, press the Delete button.

Save As

Once you've added all the presets you wish to package onto the bottom list,
press this button to save the presets to a Preset Package file.

Open

Press this button to load the presets from an existing .sfz file to your
computer.

Settings

When a particular preset is selected, pressing this button allows you to
view the parameter settings for the preset. If the preset is the Untitled
preset (last used), changing the parameters actually changes the saved
settings. Otherwise, changes made will not be stored unless you actually
save the preset in the dialog.
Double clicking on a preset is a shortcut for this button.

(Save Preset Package)

This dialog is reached by pressing Save from the Preset Manager dialog. It
allows you to set a name and storage location for the Preset Package file
that will be created. If you wish, you may also add Summary Information to
the preset package.

(Open Preset Package)

This dialog is reached by pressing Open from the Preset Manager dialog. It
allows you to install the presets from a Preset Package file. To install the
presets:

1. Select an existing Preset Package (.sfz) file. Summary information is
displayed at the bottom of the dialog.

2. If you'd like to see the presets cointained in the file, press the More
button.

3. Press Open. You may check which presets you'd like to install. Press OK
and the selected presets will be installed in your computer.

(Preset Package)

This dialog is reached when you press OK or More from the Open Preset
Package dialog. It displays the presets stored in the selected Preset
Package file. You can select which presets you'd like installed by setting
the checkboxes accordingly.
